The Runes of Time: ReWriting (part 2)

........He paused, and quite suddenly burst out in laugher, nearly falling over. Trekarth was confused, but Fortex saw his questionable-looking expression, and explained. "This secret I have kept for 27 years, when I had the vision so long ago. I have gone across mountains, through countless obstacles, and even had to......". Again, he stopped himself, but sighed, and looked down. Then at Trekarth, he said, " Just follow my lead." He stood upright, and started the arm-movements. Suddenly, his body was engulfed with fire. The flame cloak spell surrounded him, then another spell took form around him, turning his body red. Treykarth could tell it was an alteration spell, but it was too advanced for him to tell its origin. Then, he felt a raise dead spell on his own body. It wasn't able to control him, of course, but it was stronger then most others he had felt before. Then a yellow sphere appeared in his right hand, a restoration spell no doubt. Trekarth began understanding what he was doing, casting a spell of every magic, to corespond to the items on the podiums. Treykarth watched in utter bewilderment, as Fortex cast spells long since mastered, and suddenly, the entire circle on the floor began to glow, and shimmer all over its borders. But as the colors began to change and shine, Fortex collapsed, and the ground stopped changing the very moment of impact. Treykarth ran over to him, and turned him over. "That was truely amazing; are you all right?", he exclaimed, a little bit dramtically. "oh, I'm fine, ", Fortex grimanced, "I just got carried away, is all. But you've seen what to do, correct?". Treykarth nodded, but added, "Yes, but.....I don't have as advanced spells as you.....?". Fortex began his same old laugh, and practically yelled joyously," Of course! Don't you understand? It's not the greatest spells, but the using of your magic in all of the known schools. I am old, and being a magician, I'm interlocked with my magica. You still have to put your own energy into it, but with enough energy, you can stabilize the time rune." Treykarth stared at the ground, where moments ago had danced with light. He felt fear creep inside his mind.  He said aloud, "are you certin it is safe?", but Fortex's honest reply, " as sure as the visions inside my head", didn't help much. He centered himself into the circle. Calling on all magic inside of himself, his arms began to twirl. He moved and twisted, feeling the power grow inside. Fortex watched with eager anticipation. A frost cloak developed around Treykarths' legs'. He spat out an oakflesh spell, then a summoning spell. Spell after spell, school after school, magic within the circle began to build. The earth started to pulsate. Then with a magnificient flash, the circle exploded with color, a hemi-sphere growing out of the ring, and surrounding Treykarth. Fortex gawked at the power, and charged into the circle as fast as possible. He practically smashed his way through, and entered with Treykarth, who was still going. But his strength was extremely low. He cried out, in a graspy voice, " Should I end the spell?", And was shot down by Fortex, whom immidiatedly screamed, " Are you mad!? You must keep going? It has to be fully complete. Wait for MY signal!" The wall shook, and they could barely hear each other. The half circle was swirling and swirling, faster with every second. Treykarth couldn't keep this up for ever. His muscles ached, and all his magika was spent. But Fortex hesitated, waiting for the perfect moment. "Hold it.....Hold it!.....", Treykarth's vision began to daze, the spinning lights overtaking him. The lights grew brighter and blinded them. The last thing Treykath heard was, "NOW!!!", when the floor, kindly,  met his face....
